  1. Gratitude is such a powerful emotion and also so empowering.
‘As my thoughts arise so I become, – Buddha.
By appreciating every day as a new ‘birthday’ brings a fresh 24 hours to look at our lives and make a choice how we will use it .
As you say sometimes it’s very difficult but there are ways to train our minds and therefore our approach to life.

  2. My partner was diagnosed with cancer many years ago. The time we shared between the diagnosis and his passing was one of the most vibrant periods of our lives. We learned a lot…laughed more than ever, wept and found strength and hope where there ‘should’ have been none. He was not a victim of cancer… and what we learned during that time carried me through darker events in later years. I hope that what you are sharing, Leah, can offer that gift to others. x

  3. I am praying for you, Leah. You are such an inspiring and amazing woman. Your positive attitude and the way you have handled this terrible illness leaves me truly humbled. I really wish I could do something to help you. You first touched my life when I was just a teenager watching Emmerdale in the early 1990s. I had such a crush on your character Zoe. In later years, I had mental health problems of my own which also resulted in me getting into trouble with the law. Even although it was just a fictional TV show, I still took some comfort from the comparisons between my own situation and that of Zoe. Even when you left Emmerdale in 2005 I still followed your career with interest and your transformation into a yoga guru. You still look as beautiful and fresh as you did all those years ago. I was devastated when I heard about your illness, but here we are nearly 18 months later and you are still fighting and staying positive. I wish you all the very best wishes for your health and happiness in 2018. Kind regards, from David in Scotland

  4. Such an incredible attitude Leah. Totally inspiring. You are looking so well, long may that continue for you. Your comments made me think of Jane Thomlinson, she had the same positive attitude I believe that is what carried her on for as many years as it did.
